Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to diverse construction and renovation projects. The position requires a professional attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care.
Follow colour schemes and technical specifications accurately to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised during and after completion of tasks.
Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or ladders as needed for access to high or difficult-to-reach areas.
Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered.
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Excellent communication skills in English to understand instructions clearly and liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team environment.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks over extended periods, including working at heights when necessary.
