Full job description

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our busy sports and leisure venue in Bootle. This is a hands-on management role for someone who can lead from the front, manage and develop a team, maintain excellent operational standards and understand the commercial side of running a successful bar. You'll be responsible for areas including staff management and rotas, stock control, cash handling, bar and cellar standards, customer experience and supporting the continued growth of the business. We're looking for someone who doesn't simply keep things running, but actively looks for ways to increase sales, control costs, improve standards and create a great atmosphere for both customers and staff. The starting rate is £15.00 per hour, working approximately 40–45 hours per week, with a clear opportunity to progress to £16.00–£17.00 per hour following a successful probationary period and achievement of agreed performance KPIs. For the right person, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of a large, established venue and be recognised and rewarded for the results you deliver.

Do you have experience with bar stock control, ordering, stocktakes and managing wastage/stock discrepancies?
Have you been responsible for cashing up, till reconciliation and investigating cash discrepancies?
This position requires flexibility across a 7-day operation, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Are you able to work these as required?
