Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Care Home Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional senior care. In this vital leadership role, you will support the overall management of the care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality assisted living and nursing services. Your expertise will help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for residents, especially those requiring dementia and Alzheimer’s care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead with passion, oversee daily operations, and uphold the highest standards of care and compliance.

Duties

Assist the Home Manager in coordinating all aspects of care delivery, ensuring resident needs are met with compassion and professionalism
Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on excellent service
Oversee the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s unique requirements
Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and safely in accordance with regulatory standards
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards across the home
Lead on dementia and Alzheimer’s care initiatives, promoting meaningful activities that enhance residents’ well-being
Support staff training and development to maintain high standards of nursing, senior care, and home care practices

Requirements

Proven experience working in assisted living or nursing home environments with a strong understanding of senior care needs
Demonstrable supervising or management experience within a care home setting
Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care approaches and best practices
Qualified in nursing or related healthcare fields with relevant certifications
Experience in developing and managing care plans that prioritize resident safety and independence
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, staff, and external professionals
