Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents within our care home. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive and professional environment. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine desire to assist others with their daily needs.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
Follow individualised care plans to deliver tailored support
Monitor and record health conditions, behaviours, and any changes in wellbeing
Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems and care plan software
Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Support the organisation of activities that promote wellbeing and social engagement

Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
Good command of English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication with colleagues and clients
Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents or patients and their families
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
