Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to contribute to a dynamic organisation committed to quality and safety. The position is paid and suitable for applicants with relevant experience or training in mechanical systems.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Assemble new machinery or parts as required, ensuring adherence to specifications
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during maintenance or installation procedures
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment status
Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues to minimise downtime
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery types
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and assembly
Experience with equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and diagnostics
Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
