Overview

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, serve a diverse clientele, and work within a welcoming setting. Prior experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food and drink preparation.
Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service to enhance their experience.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage customer payments.
Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for all new staff members.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.

Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
