Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in financial administration within a dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will support various financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. The position is paid and ideal for candidates with a keen interest in finance and strong organisational skills.

Duties

Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, receipts, and expense claims
Maintain accurate financial records and organise documentation for audit purposes
Support the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of transactions
Reconcile bank statements and monitor account balances regularly
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by senior management
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to resolve financial discrepancies or queries
Support budgeting activities and financial forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations

Experience

Previous experience in a finance or administrative role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential
Basic understanding of accounting principles or financial software is advantageous
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
