Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels and documents efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy driving and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. A valid driving licence and a clean driving record are essential for this position.

Duties

Collect parcels and documents from the central depot or designated collection points
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Deliver parcels to customers’ addresses, ensuring correct handling and placement
Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
Maintain accurate delivery records and update tracking systems promptly
Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies to management immediately
Assist with loading and unloading parcels as needed, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
Uphold excellent customer service standards by being courteous, professional, and helpful during deliveries

Skills

Valid driving licence with clean driving record
Strong organisational skills to plan efficient routes and manage deliveries effectively
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
Good communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical fitness to lift parcels of varying weights safely (up to 15kg)
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures is advantageous
Experience in courier or delivery services is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for new drivers

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
