Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our logistics operations and contributing to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Safely operate own vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at designated destinations.
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with care to prevent damage or injury.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and documentation as required.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Assist in warehouse activities when necessary, including stock organisation and inventory management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
Full UK driving licence
Must have access to your own reliable vehicle
Good knowledge of the local area
Punctual, trustworthy, and organised
Business-use motor insurance preferred/required
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively under time constraints.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including late afternoons if necessary. This position offers an engaging work environment where safety, efficiency, and customer service are paramount. We welcome applicants who are committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of their role.
