Full job description

A position has arisen at our expanding wholesale distribution centre in Basildon for a Commercial Parts Sales assistant

This is a varied role providing administrative and commercial support to our sales and warehouse teams. You will be responsible for handling customer enquiries, processing orders, managing warranties and returns, and supporting the movement of stock using our in-house systems. As you develop your knowledge of our products through internal training and literature, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Handling customer enquiries by telephone and email.
Processing orders, quotations, warranties, returns, and general queries using Microsoft Office and our in-house systems.
Identifying customers' requirements and providing appropriate product solutions.
Upselling products where appropriate using your product knowledge and internal systems.
Providing administrative support to the sales team.
Assisting with stock control, goods in/out, and warehouse support when required.
Developing product knowledge through internal training and company literature.
Working collaboratively across the office, sales, and warehouse departments to support the wider team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience in office administration and/or a commercial motor parts department or motor factor environment (preferred but not essential, as training will be provided).
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook, MAM Kerridge would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
A proactive approach with the confidence to identify customer needs and provide excellent service.
The flexibility to switch between office and warehouse environments when required.
A reliable, committed, and hardworking attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Monday to Friday, 8.30-5pm
28 days holiday including bank holidays.

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
