Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and create a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating food preparation and service, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities to ensure smooth operation
Lead and motivate team members, including serving staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to meet quality standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the premises
Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover
Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory control
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to uphold excellent service standards
Implement training programmes for staff development in hospitality, food safety, and service excellence
Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning and special event organisation
Maintain a professional appearance of the restaurant environment at all times

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong team management and leadership capabilities
Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Familiarity with culinary processes including food production and kitchen operations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Exceptional communication skills to liaise with staff and guests confidently
Knowledge of hospitality standards and customer service excellence
Experience in managing barista services or bar operations (desirable)
Ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in accordance with regulations

This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to lead a thriving restaurant environment while ensuring guest satisfaction through outstanding service and culinary excellence.

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,000.00 per year
