Full job description

The Paediatric Haematology, Oncology & BMT / Adult Bone Marrow Transplant & Immune Effector Cell Therapy Quality and Governance Programme operates across the Division of Specialised Services and the Division of Women’s and Children’s to maintain the quality and safety standards required by our accreditation and regulatory bodies.

The post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support across the Programme. Working across two divisions, this post requires exceptional organisational and IT skills, a keen eye for detail and a proactive, driven approach. The post holder will liaise with a wide range of staff groups, within UHBW and at NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), in order to coordinate well-established quality and governance meetings, maintain a large controlled document portfolio, and provide support for a range of quality and compliance activities.

This role would suit a self‑motivated, process‑driven individual who enjoys organising and maintaining information and records, who takes pride in the accuracy and consistency of their work, and who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to support efficient business operations.

Meeting Coordination

Coordinate and support twice monthly quality management meetings in Paediatrics and Adults, the
quarterly joint meeting with members of NHSBT and other meetings which may be necessary to the

Programme:
Document Control

Maintain the current portfolio of standard operating procedures (SOPs), clinical guidelines,
protocols, drug prescription labels and other controlled documents, using the Quality and
Governance Programme’s Quality Management System (QMS) and established cloud-based
review procedures, to the required review schedule

Support and facilitate the creation of new departmental policies, procedures, guidelines and other
critical documents

Quality Management

Use Trust systems and platforms integrated into the Quality Management programme
effectively, efficiently and accurately

Develop and maintain an awareness of JACIE, HTA and NHS England quality standards and
understand how these relate to day-to-day processes and procedures

Develop and maintain an understanding of Stem Cell Transplant, CAR-T Cell Therapy,
Haematology and Paediatric Oncology pathways, treatments, interventions and terminology

Develop and maintain a specialised knowledge of Quality Management principles, processes and
best practice
