About AGG

AGG specialises in portable appliance testing (PAT) and property maintenance, primarily serving the education sector. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, high-quality services through a dedicated team committed to excellent customer service.

The role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Part-time Administrator to join our friendly team. You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the business, coordinating customer appointments and helping us maintain an efficient, professional service.

The successful candidate will be proactive, organised and confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Monday to Friday, 27.5 hours per week. Ideally 8am-2pm inclusive of a 30 minute lunch break.

Key responsibilities

Answer incoming telephone calls and handle customer enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Schedule customer testing appointments and maintain the booking system.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Prepare and issue invoices promptly and accurately.
Monitor outstanding invoices and contact customers regarding overdue payments.
Respond to emails and other correspondence in a timely manner.
Liaise with customers, suppliers and colleagues to support excellent service delivery.
Prepare reports and other office documentation as required.
Provide general administrative support to the wider team.
Carry out other reasonable administrative duties as required.

About you

You will ideally have:

Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A confident and professional telephone manner.
Strong typing and data-entry skills, with excellent attention to detail.
The ability to organise and prioritise your workload effectively.
A calm approach when working under pressure or managing several tasks.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
A flexible, collaborative approach to work.

Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
