Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Till Staff member to join our busy team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth operation at the point of sale. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good organisational skills, and experience in food service environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant retail or hospitality setting.

Duties

Operate the till system accurately and efficiently during transactions.
Assist customers with their purchases, answer queries, and provide exceptional service.
Packing food items as required, maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.
Upsell products where appropriate to maximise sales opportunities.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the till area and surrounding space.
Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Manage cash, card payments, and receipts with precision.
Support with basic food preparation tasks in the kitchen area when needed.
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour to enhance customer experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
Basic maths skills for handling cash and calculating totals accurately.
Experience in food preparation or culinary work is desirable but not essential.
Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues.
Organised with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build their experience within the hospitality industry while delivering outstanding service to customers.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
