Job Introduction

Catering Supervisor
£13.17 to £14.05, Dependant on Experience
37.5 Hours Per Week
4 Week Rota, shifts of 07:00 to 15:00 and 11:00 to 19:00
Location is Manchester Central Hospital, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9WL

As a Catering Supervisor at Sodexo, based at Manchester Central Hospital, you’ll take the lead in delivering high quality catering services in a dynamic healthcare environment. You’ll be an inspiring leader, capable of motivating your team in a fast paced setting while maintaining a sharp eye for detail. With strong communication and organisational skills, you’ll help us put people at the heart of everything we do — delivering outstanding service to patients, staff, and visitors alike. What you’ll do:

Lead and support catering staff, including recruitment, training, and scheduling
Liaise with planners to ensure all catering requirements are met
Oversee event set up and breakdown, ensuring all equipment and supplies are accounted for
Respond to customer queries and resolve any issues effectively and professionally
Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including Food Safety, Allergen Awareness, COSHH, and HACCP

What you bring:

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role
A professional attitude, with integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
A positive, approachable manner with excellent communication across teams
Strong IT and administrative skills
A proactive mindset and willingness to grow and learn
