Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Office Administrator / Workshop Assistant to join our small, friendly team. This is a varied role combining office-based administrative duties with occasional hands-on workshop responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A flexible approach and willingness to assist across different areas of the business are essential.

Key Responsibilities

General office administration and clerical duties
Processing invoices, purchase orders, and maintaining financial records using Sage accounting software
Reporting directly to the MD and Accountant
Preparing documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence using Microsoft Office
Answering telephone and email enquiries
Maintaining accurate customer and supplier records
Assisting with stock control and inventory management
Packaging, labelling, and dispatching goods as required
Supporting workshop operations when needed
Ensuring a tidy and organised working environment

Essential Requirements

Proven experience using Sage accounting software or a willingness to learn
Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work on your own initiative
Comfortable working both independently and within a small team
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Willingness to undertake practical workshop-related tasks, including packaging and dispatch

Desirable

Previous experience in an administrative role within a manufacturing, engineering, or workshop environment
Experience with stock management, logistics and exports
