Full job description

Warehouse Operative

Location: Gorefield, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with overtime available during busy periods.

Salary: £26,500 to £28,000 per annum (£12.74 to £13.46 per hour), depending on experience, plus overtime.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in preparing customer orders, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring our warehouse operates safely and efficiently. You will be joining a close knit team that works hard, supports one another and takes pride in delivering an excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Picking, cleaning and preparing customer orders to a high standard.
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Receiving, checking and booking in incoming stock.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
Carrying out stock counts and inventory checks.
Operating warehouse equipment safely and following all Health and Safety procedures.
Assisting with furniture refurbishment and preparation where required.
Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys being part of a hardworking team.

You'll ideally have:

Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential.
Excellent attention to detail.
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
The ability to safely lift and move furniture and stock.
A forklift licence would be an advantage.
