Full job description

What we’re looking for:

· A commitment to producing high quality food following strict regulations is essential.

Attention to detail is key so you must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and meticulous record keeping, be efficient, organised and have excellent planning skills.
You must be self-motivated, able to work independently and take the initiative and have a desire to continually learn and develop.
Previous experience in fast-moving food preparation is desirable.
There will be a requirement for you to work in a low temperature environment.
You must be eligible to work in the UK.
A real ‘can do’ attitude is a must to help make our team brilliant and love working together!

About the role:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-orientated Hygiene Operative to join our team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring all production areas, equipment, and facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest hygiene and food safety standards. In addition, training will be provided across key areas of manufacturing, with a vision to build a multi-skilled team.

Key responsibilities:

· Support production teams by ensuring equipment is available and ready for use at the start of production.

· Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used, stored, and labelled correctly in accordance with COSHH requirements.

· Ensure all cleaned items meet company hygiene standards before being returned to production.

· Maintain segregation of clean and dirty equipment to prevent cross-contamination.

· Keep the pot wash area clean, tidy, and organised.

· Work closely with production teams to support operational requirements.

· Complete cleaning records and documentation accurately where applicable.

· Dispose of waste safely and ensure waste areas remain clean and organised.

· Identify and report equipment faults, hygiene issues, or maintenance concerns.

Physically fit and able to carry out repetitive manual tasks.
Willingness to work flexible shifts where required.

Desirable

Previous experience in food manufacturing, catering, hospitality, or industrial cleaning.
Knowledge of food hygiene and cleaning procedures.
Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and COSHH requirements.
Food Safety or Hygiene qualification.

Shift- 06:00- 14:30 (Flexibility required). MONDAY- FRIDAY (Weekends off and bank holidays off)
