Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are equally valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for upholding food safety standards, assisting with food preparation when necessary, and promoting upselling opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
Assist with food safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Support food preparation activities as needed to ensure timely service.
Manage multiple tables effectively, prioritising tasks during busy periods.
Maintain a clean and organised service area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent guest service.
Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service roles is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques.
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately.
Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is desirable.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance the dining experience.
Good organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the service area.
