Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Tutor to inspire and support students in their educational journey. As a Primary Tutor, you will provide personalized instruction to children across various subjects, fostering confidence and a love for learning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ academic success and personal development. Your energetic approach and strong communication skills will help create a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages growth and curiosity.

Responsibilities

Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to students in primary school, focusing on core subjects such as literacy, numeracy and science
Assess each student’s individual needs and develop customized lesson plans to address their unique learning styles and challenges
Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly
Monitor progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians
Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that motivates students to participate actively and build confidence in their abilities
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to ensure consistent support for each student’s development
Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress reports, and any required documentation

Requirements

QTS in Primary
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching children, preferably within primary education settings
Strong understanding of child development and special education practices
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with young learners, parents, and colleagues
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed academically
Relevant qualifications in education or related fields are preferred but not mandatory
Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is a plus
