Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and personable full-time waitress/ waitor to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred, along with a passion for delivering outstanding customer care.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
Upsell menu items and specials to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue.
Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions.
Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts.
Assist in food preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including food safety procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately.
Familiarity with upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and sales performance.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
