Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment. The Kitchen Cook will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers through efficient meal preparation and kitchen organisation.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes in collaboration with the culinary team.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, and food processors.
Collaborate with serving staff to ensure timely delivery of meals to customers.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Culinary experience or formal training in hospitality or catering is preferred but not essential.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if required.
