Full job description

We are a local upholstery manufacturer based in Long Eaton, producing high‑quality, handcrafted furniture for customers across the UK. We are looking for a proactive and organised Customer Service Administrator to support our busy Production Office at our Long Eaton site. The ideal candidate will be confident working across multiple tasks, have strong IT skills, and bring a positive, solutions‑focused approach to the team.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to provide essential administrative and customer service support, ensuring that orders, invoicing, after‑sales service, and reporting processes run smoothly and accurately. The role exists to maintain clear communication with customers, coordinate effectively with Production, and uphold high standards of organisation, accuracy, and service across the business.

Sales Order Processing

Input and update orders with precision, resolve pricing issues quickly, keep customers clearly informed, coordinate changes with Production, and prepare delivery documentation to keep everything running smoothly.

Invoicing

Deliver accurate, timely invoicing and credit processing, maintain meticulous filing, manage ad hoc billing, and escalate discrepancies to ensure flawless financial records.

Customer Service Support

Log and resolve after sales service requests, prepare quotes, coordinate service parts and technician visits, and maintain clear communication through to full resolution.

General Administration

Prepare and dispatch samples and service items, maintain QC standards, collaborate closely with Production, and provide flexible administrative support across the business.

Reporting

Produce accurate weekly customer service reports, maintain up to date data, and provide reliable reporting that drives informed decision making

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be a fantastic team player, and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within an admin or accounts department.

Essential Skills

Strong administration background and proficient in MS Excel
A keen eye for detail and an organised approach to work.
The ability work systematically and independently to achieve set targets.

This is a full-time position, based at our Long Eaton site. Competitive salary (dependent on experience).
