Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are committed to delivering high-quality service and support within a dynamic environment. The position involves working with hand tools, power tools, and specialised schematics, requiring both technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs involving welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems
Troubleshoot complex mechanical faults and implement effective solutions promptly
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely as part of maintenance or repair activities
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with colleagues and clients regarding repair status or technical issues

Requirements

Proven experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, or related fields
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and assembly processes
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Customer service orientation with clear communication skills
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related disciplines are desirable but not essential
