Indian Curry Chef

Location: Coventry
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Indian Curry Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and be able to prepare a wide range of curries while maintaining consistency, quality, and speed during service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian curries and dishes.
Prepare and maintain gravies, sauces, and curry bases.
Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
Follow recipes, portion control, and food specifications.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
Minimise food waste and handle ingredients efficiently.
Work effectively during busy service periods.
Support other kitchen sections when required.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Indian Curry Chef is essential.
Strong knowledge of North Indian cuisine and traditional cooking methods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen under pressure.
Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Right to work in the UK.
