Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal safety and performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise and develop your technical expertise within a professional environment. The position involves working with various tools and equipment, adhering to safety standards, and providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to accurately diagnose faults
Carry out welding and equipment repair as necessary to restore vehicle functionality
Assist with the installation of new parts and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications
Perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or equipment safely
Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing client concerns professionally

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within the automotive industry
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices
Experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and equipment repair
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with clients
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential

Pay: £32,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
