Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Takeaway Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our service, responsible for delivering delicious meals promptly and safely to our valued customers. Your enthusiasm, excellent driving skills, and commitment to customer satisfaction will ensure a seamless delivery experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to stay active, explore your local area, and be part of a fast-paced food service environment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a vehicle to deliver takeaway orders to customers within designated areas
Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to ensure timely deliveries
Communicate clearly with customers upon arrival, confirming order receipt and addressing any questions or concerns
Handle food items with care, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the delivery vehicle at all times
Complete delivery logs accurately and report any issues or delays promptly
Assist with loading and unloading orders, including heavy lifting when necessary, in compliance with safety protocols

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably within food delivery or courier services
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate <PERSON> driver vehicles (or equivalent)
Experience with commercial driving and understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations
Warehouse experience or familiarity with handling heavy lifting is advantageous
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
Ability to navigate using GPS technology and adapt to changing routes quickly
Physical stamina for extended periods of driving and lifting heavy items when required
