Full job description

As Sous Chef you will prepare hot and cold meals ensuring you meet customer expectations. You need to be a team player with the ability to focus, multi task and communicate with the team.

THE ROLE

Prepare delicious, high quality food that delights our customers
Delegate prep tasks and help train team members
Run the pass checking food before it leaves the kitchen
Responsible for ensuring food preparation and holding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times as per Food Standards guidelines
Identify opportunities to improve our food offer
Support with the creation of new menus
Listen and act on customer feedback to improve food service
Monitor inventories to keep kitchen, café and bar well stocked, help Catering Manager with ordering and stock levels
To be familiar and comply with all relevant Health and Safety, in particular ensuring that all statutory obligations are complied with especially in relation to Food Safety Act and Food Hygiene.
To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as from time to time may be required, in consultation with the post holder.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Ability to focus, multi task and communicate with the team
Good time management skills
Knowledge of ingredients, produce and seasonality
Ability to forward plan
Working as part of a team
Hold a Food Hygiene certificate to a least Level 2

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The post holder will be required to work unsociable hours including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as part of their normal working week.
The post holder will qualify for overtime payments.
The post holder will be required to wear a uniform.

Pay: From £22,104.00 per year
