Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and assembly instructions. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues
Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics and technical manuals
Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups
Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities
Assist with equipment repair and maintenance within the workshop environment
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic or similar role
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
Proficiency with schematics, assembly instructions, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and heavy lifting tasks
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills for customer interactions
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in vehicle mechanics are preferred
