Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment, providing excellent service to our patrons. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering memorable experiences, possess a friendly demeanour, and demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety and responsible service. Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Duties

Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and tables
Prepare and mix a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and lounge area, including glassware and utensils
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and prevent underage sales
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
Replenish stock supplies as needed and assist with stock rotation
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, answering queries, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Assist in setting up events or special functions when required

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or a similar environment is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities

The ideal candidate must be fully flexible as shifts will include open/close aswell as weekends.
