Job Overview

We seek a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in financial administration within a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping and data entry. Flexibility in working hours and the chance to develop skills in recognised accounting software are key benefits of this position. Salary £24,420.00 to £26,000.00 pro-rata. Ideally working Monday, Wednesday and Friday but this is negotiable.

Duties

Assist with data entry of financial transactions into accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
Support accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
Maintain accurate records of financial documents and correspondence
Reconcile accounts and prepare basic financial reports as required
Utilise systems such as Workday, QuickBooks, or other relevant platforms to support daily operations
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of financial data
Perform general administrative tasks related to finance functions, including filing and document organisation

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft is desirable
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and basic financial procedures
Experience working within the financial services sector is advantageous but not essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, for data management and reporting
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality

Pay: £24,420.00-£26,000.00 per year
