EYFS Teaching Assistant
Lower Meadow Primary Academy
21 hours per week - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Salary: £12,728 - £13,137 (pro rata)
Closing date: 14th June

Lower Meadow Primary Academy is a welcoming and inclusive school dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to succeed. Staff work collaboratively to create a supportive atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to develop a lifelong enthusiasm for learning.

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support our Early Years provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young learners at a crucial stage in their education.

Key Responsibilities

Support children’s learning and development through engaging, play-based activities
Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups to help them progress
Foster positive relationships and act as a role model for behaviour and communication
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Assist with planning, preparation, and delivery of EYFS activities alongside the class teacher
Observe and share insights into children’s progress, development, and wellbeing
Support daily routines, including transitions and personal care where needed
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in all pupils

What We’re Looking For

A caring and patient individual with a genuine passion for working with young children
Understanding of child development within the Early Years Foundation Stage
Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Willingness to support all pupils, including those with additional needs
Organised and able to contribute to a well-managed classroom environment
