Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise in mechanical systems and tools will help keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive technology in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a tangible difference every day.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and diagnose problems accurately
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components using hand tools and power tools
Replace worn or damaged parts with precision and efficiency, ensuring all work meets safety standards
Utilize heavy lifting techniques and equipment to handle large or heavy vehicle components safely
Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle
Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify the quality of work and ensure proper functioning
Follow safety protocols rigorously during all maintenance procedures to prevent accidents or injuries

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and socket sets
Experience operating power tools safely and effectively in a workshop setting
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine repair tasks
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail for accurate diagnostics and repairs
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on repair status
Relevant certifications or technical training in automotive repair or related fields are preferred but not mandatory
