Assistant Manager - New Opening

Siren City Bars, Cheltenham (The Brewery Quarter)

Siren City Bars is our growing hospitality arm, operating a collection of distinctive venues that share our passion for great beer, exceptional hospitality and genuine community. We are bringing that same energy to Cheltenham, and we're looking for an exceptional Assistant Manager to be part of a friendly, creative and inclusive team, full of people who care about what they do.

Job Specifics

· Total package: up to £36,000 per annum (base + tronc)

· Base salary: up to £32,000 (dependent on experience)

· Tronc: £4,000–£7,000 per annum

· Location: Cheltenham

· Contract: Full-time, permanent

· Hours: 45 hours per week (including weekends and evenings)

· Reporting to: General Manager + Assistant General Manager

· Working from week commencing 14th September

The Role

As Assistant Manager we are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual, focusing on delivering exceptional hospitality and enhancing the overall guest experience. This role is a customer service focused leadership role ideal for individuals with a passion for customer service and attention to detail.

You will assist in the daily operations of the venue, support the management team, and act as a key point of contact for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster a positive, inclusive team culture which aligns with Siren's values
Provide top level customer service and engagement with guests
Greet and interact with guests to ensure an exceptional experience
Resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
Assist in staff supervision, including shift preparation and team motivation
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance throughout guest areas
Collaborate with the kitchen, marketing team and other Front Of House Managers to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services, offerings, and promotions to make appropriate recommendations to guests
Assist with training new staff on hospitality standards and service protocols
Monitor and report guest feedback to help shape ongoing service improvements
Aiding in day-to-day running of the venue, taking a lead on shifts in the absence of Senior Management

Skills and Experience Required

· Proven experience as a manager/ supervisor in a high-volume bar, pub or restaurant

· Excellent people manager, lead by example and bring the best out of those around you

· Passion for craft beer and hospitality (you don't need to be a brewer, but you do need to care)

· Experience in training staff in a fast-paced environment

· A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
