Chelmscare Ltd is an established, CQC-rated "Good" domiciliary care provider, delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to people living in their own homes across Watford, Bushey, Borehamwood, Shenley and Potters Bar. Since 2016, we have been committed to helping people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life by providing compassionate, safe and responsive care tailored to individual needs.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and motivated Registered Manager to lead our domiciliary care service and build on our strong reputation for delivering high-quality care. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader who is passionate about achieving outstanding outcomes for people receiving care, developing high-performing teams and driving continuous service improvement.

As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational, clinical and regulatory management of the service. You will ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission regulations, contractual requirements and company policies while maintaining the highest standards of person-centred care. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and work collaboratively with service users, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities and other stakeholders.

Working closely with the Directors, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our services, supporting business growth, improving performance, and ensuring Chelmscare Ltd continues to deliver safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services.

Key Responsibilities.

Lead the day-to-day management of a CQC-registered domiciliary care service.
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, Health and Social Care Act 2008, and company policies.
Oversee assessments, person-centred care planning, risk assessments and regular care reviews.
Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, compassionate and person-centred care.
Manage, motivate and develop a team of care coordinators, Community Area Managers and care staff.
Lead recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals, performance management and staff development.
Ensure safe staffing levels and effective rota management to meet service user needs.
Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
Monitor service quality through audits, quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Investigate and resolve complaints, incidents and safeguarding concerns in accordance with company policies.
Manage operational performance, budgets and resources to ensure efficient and sustainable service delivery.
Support business growth by developing new services, increasing care hours and maintaining excellent relationships with local authorities and private clients.
Produce management reports, analyse performance data and contribute to strategic planning with the Directors.
Promote a positive culture that values dignity, respect, independence, choice and excellent outcomes for people receiving care.
Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota to support the operational needs of the service.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualification:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced leader who can demonstrate the following:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or be willing to achieve this qualification if not already held.
A minimum of two years' experience in a management role within a domiciliary care or health and social care setting.
Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager or Deputy Manager with responsibility for regulatory compliance.
A thorough understanding ofCQC Fundamental Standards, the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the Care Act 2014, and other relevant legislation and best practice guidance.
Proven experience of successfully leading a CQC-regulated service, including preparing for inspections and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, people management and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and support high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
Experience in care planning, risk management, safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous service improvement.
Commercial awareness with the ability to manage resources effectively and contribute to service growth and development.
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and choice.
Excellent organisational, IT and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.
