Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Front of House/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant environment where hospitality and culinary skills are valued. The successful candidate will support both front-of-house operations and kitchen functions, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests and efficient food preparation. Prior experience in catering, restaurant service, or food preparation is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their culinary expertise.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front of house
Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a professional manner
Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the guidance of senior staff
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
Support with basic cooking tasks, including assembling dishes and preparing ingredients
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as required
Help in setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in catering, restaurant service, or kitchen environments is advantageous but not mandatory
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients is preferred
Experience in meal or food preparation, including basic cooking skills, is desirable
Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service best practices will be beneficial
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the hospitality industry
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
