Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional setting.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or required supplies
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Serve food to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends if required
Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
