Security K9 Supervisor

Location: Yorkshire (primarily Leeds, Bradford and surrounding areas, with travel across the wider Yorkshire region)

Pay: £43,800 p/a

Hours: Average of 48 hours per week on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, working a mixture of days and nights. This role includes an average of 12 K9 shifts per week, calculated over a 12-week period.

Take the Lead in K9 Security Operations

Are you an experienced K9 security professional looking to progress into a leadership role?

We're looking for a proactive and motivated Security K9 Supervisor to support and develop our K9 operations across Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, supporting colleagues and maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

As a mobile supervisor, you'll work across a variety of customer sites, ensuring compliance, delivering training, supporting handlers and promoting best practice throughout the K9 division. Every day brings new challenges, making this an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Security K9 Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Supervising and supporting K9 handlers, security officers and drivers across multiple sites.
Conducting welfare visits, performance reviews and investigation meetings.
Carrying out K9 assessments and providing ongoing training for handlers and their dogs.
Completing site audits, Void Property Inspections (VPIs), compliance reviews and operational spot checks.
Ensuring all sites operate in line with company procedures, customer requirements and industry standards.
Delivering SmartTask and compliance training.
Monitoring incident reports, site performance and operational standards.
Assisting with staff rostering to ensure contractual cover.
Maintaining accurate records, reports and compliance documentation.
Responding to operational incidents and providing management support where required.
Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and development of new K9 handlers.
Ensuring K9 teams, vehicles and equipment remain operationally compliant.
Promoting professionalism, continuous improvement and excellent customer service throughout the K9 operation.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
Previous experience working within the K9 security industry.
NASDU Handler and NASDU Team Qualifications.
Own operational K9.
Fully equipped K9 vehicle suitable for operational deployments.
Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively.
Flexibility to work a 4-on, 4-off rota covering both days and nights.

Desirable:

Training or assessor qualification.
DBS Check.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Experience delivering operational training.
Strong attention to detail.
