Full job description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Administrator to join our team in coordinating and overseeing street works project activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth running of projects.

We will require you to attend the office in Southend Monday – Friday for an 8 hr Working Day however there is some flexibility on start and finish times.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Office Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Answer phone calls and emails professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Take detailed meeting minutes.
Confirming job competition with clients and ensuring all photo are recorded.
Preparing paperwork for yard and maintenance staff.
Assisting with various project-based tasks as required.
Support project managers in tracking project progress and deadlines
Perform data entry tasks to update project databases.
Handle clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
Order materials and tools for projects

Requirements

Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proactive individual with keen eye for detail
Work well under pressure
Excellent administrative skills
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize workload
Own transport as no public service route
Experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Proven experience in administrative or project support roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and QuickBooks
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Ability to type efficiently and maintain attention to detail
Knowledge of office procedures and basic administrative tasks

What We Offer

Competitive salary Starting from £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience
20 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
Free on-site parking.
Available for immediate start.
Working days Monday - Friday
8 Hr days
