Location: Croydon office (CR0 4XQ), office-based

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Salary: £22,000 per annum

Reports to: Company Director

About 4 Summit

4 Summit Ltd is a structural steelwork and architectural metalwork contractor based in Croydon. We fabricate and install steelwork for main contractors and developers across London and the South East, ranging from staircases and balustrades to structural frames and mezzanine floors.

Much of our work comes from repeat clients, which we take as the measure of our quality. We are a small team managing a high volume of live projects, and we take considerable pride in the standard of our work.

The role

We are seeking an office administrative assistant to support the day-to-day running of the office. The role is central to keeping our projects, paperwork and communications well organised, and would suit a methodical individual who works well under a steady and varied workload.

Key responsibilities

· Answer incoming calls and enquiries and direct them to the appropriate member of the team.

· Maintain the company's project filing in Dropbox, ensuring drawings, orders, certificates and correspondence are saved to the correct job folders.

· Provide support to estimating team by logging enquiries, printing drawings and chasing quotations.

· Provide support to detailing team by loading out jobs for fabrication.

· Provide support as needed to accounts and purchasing.

· Provide general office administration.

Person specification

· Well organised, with strong attention to detail.

· Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.

· A clear and professional communicator, both on the telephone and in writing.

· Able to manage several tasks at once and prioritise effectively.

· Reliable, and able to work on their own initiative.

· Previous experience in construction or steelwork administration is an advantage, though not essential, as training will be provided.
