Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior chef to lead our culinary team within a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers an opportunity to oversee food production, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Senior chef will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior staff, managing daily kitchen activities, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation and presentation in the kitchen.
Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of performance.
Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and company policies.
Plan menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining consistency.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and served promptly.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, fostering professional development within the team.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting.
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences through high-quality food service.

Pay: £35,000.00-£37,500.00 per year
