Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Barista/All Rounder and be the heart of our bustling new dessert shop! In this dynamic role, you'll craft delicious coffee beverages, serve customers with enthusiasm, and assist with a variety of food preparation tasks. Your energy and attention to detail will create a welcoming environment where customers feel appreciated and eager to return. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, friendly setting while ensuring excellent service and food safety standards are upheld at all times.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and flair
Provide friendly, efficient customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Assist with food preparation including snacks, sandwiches, or baked goods as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations
Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change
Support team members during busy periods by multitasking effectively and managing time efficiently

Requirements

Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Ability to serve customers professionally with a positive attitude
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a lively environment
Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment
Reliable team player with excellent communication skills
