Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and early years education to make a positive impact on children's lives while working within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and social skills in line with early childhood education standards
Supervise and support children during play, meal times, rest periods, and outdoor activities
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues
Manage daily routines efficiently, ensuring consistency and structure for the children
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Uphold policies related to safeguarding, behaviour management, and equality

Requirements

recognised childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent)
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative
Passionate about working with children, with a caring and nurturing approach
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the nursery environment

This role is ideal for committed professionals eager to contribute positively to children's early learning experiences within a dynamic setting.

Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
