Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant or bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team dedicated to providing memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and ensure they are seated comfortably
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Engage with guests to enhance their experience through friendly and attentive service
Handle cash, card transactions, and process payments efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, bar, and surrounding spaces
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service operations
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
Follow food safety and hygiene standards diligently at all times
Assist with basic food preparation or bar tending duties when required

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Good understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods with strong time management skills
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Knowledge of food preparation or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
Upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales potential
Kitchen experience or prior serving experience will be considered advantageous
