Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista (weekend) to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and creating high-quality beverages. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Flexibility to work weekends is essential, and previous experience in a similar role is mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry and be part of a dynamic team committed to quality and service excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, matcha, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and process payments efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
Follow food safety standards and health regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure the smooth running of the café during busy periods.
Collaborate with team members to deliver a positive customer experience and support the overall operation of the premises.

Requirements

Previous barista experience essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Basic food preparation skills are beneficial to assist with light food handling tasks.
Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Ability to work efficiently during peak times while maintaining attention to detail. This role offers an exciting opportunity for energetic individuals looking to enhance their hospitality skills while working on weekends in a supportive environment.
