Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bench Joiner/Wood Machinist/Belt Sander Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with various woodworking machinery and hand tools to produce high-quality joinery and bespoke woodwork. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication, carpentry, and assembly, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a professional workshop environment.

Duties

Operating woodworking machinery such as belt sanders , saws, and planers to shape and finish timber components & aluminium.
Cutting, shaping, and assembling wood parts according to technical drawings and specifications
Using hand tools and power tools to perform precise joinery and fitting tasks
Ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety regulations
Maintaining a clean and organised work area, including equipment maintenance and safety checks
Collaborating with team members
following safe manual handling procedures

Qualifications

Proven experience in joinery, or carpentry within a workshop or construction environment. essential the use of a blet sander.
Experience operating power tools including belt sanders, saws, routers, and planers
Knowledge of assembly techniques
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Candidates should be physically fit and capable of working in a busy workshop environment.

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
