Overview

Join our vibrant coffee shop team as a dedicated Coffee Shop Team Member! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, prepares delicious beverages, and ensures a welcoming environment for all. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable experiences for our guests while maintaining high standards of food safety and service excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and care
Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions, and providing excellent service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
Follow food safety protocols to ensure all products meet health standards
Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling cash and card transactions
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the store well-equipped for busy periods
Support team members during peak hours by assisting with food preparation and serving duties

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Ability to perform serving duties efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting supplies
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to foster a welcoming atmosphere
