Stowmarket Golf Club – Stowmarket, Suffolk

Salary: £32,000 per year
Hours: 45 hours per week

Join Our Award-Winning Hospitality Team

Stowmarket Golf Club is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our growing kitchen team, working alongside our Head Chef.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys producing high-quality, freshly prepared food in a professional but friendly environment. Unlike many restaurant and pub roles, we offer more sociable working hours, a fantastic work-life balance, and the chance to be part of a supportive team within one of Suffolk's premier golf clubs.

About the Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help deliver an exciting range of food, including:

Breakfasts and brunches
Lunch service
Sunday Carveries
Afternoon Teas
Private functions and celebrations
Weddings
Golf society catering
Seasonal events and themed evenings

You'll be involved in preparing fresh, high-quality dishes, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and helping ensure every guest receives an outstanding dining experience.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a gastro pub, hotel, restaurant or similar fresh food environment.
Passion for producing quality food using fresh ingredients.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
High standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
