Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Community Care Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring compassionate, personalized care. In this vital role, you will provide support to seniors and adults with diverse needs, promoting independence, safety, and well-being within their homes or care facilities. Your energetic and caring approach will help create a warm, respectful environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in your community.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Assist with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Support clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through behavior management and compassionate engagement
Provide transportation for appointments or errands using personal or agency vehicles, ensuring safe driving practices
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid procedures and coordinate with emergency services when necessary

Qualifications

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of patient care techniques, including medication administration and behavior management strategies
Experience in Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, or senior care is advantageous
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards clients of all ages
Certifications in first aid or CPR are a plus; willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held
