Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ISTD or RAD Ballet Teacher to join our vibrant dance academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ballet instruction to students of various ages and skill levels. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire aspiring dancers, foster a love for ballet, and contribute to their artistic development. The Ballet Teacher will create a positive learning environment, promote technical excellence, and encourage creativity through engaging lessons. Prior experience in sports coaching and teaching, along with a solid understanding of anatomy, will be highly valued in this role.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver comprehensive ballet classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
Demonstrate proper technique, posture, and movement to students, ensuring safety and injury prevention.
Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Develop customised lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
Organise rehearsals for performances or examinations, preparing students for stage presentations.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages artistic expression.
Collaborate with colleagues to organise workshops, masterclasses, or community outreach programmes.
Keep accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans for administrative purposes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in teaching ballet or similar dance disciplines.
Background in sports coaching is advantageous, demonstrating strong leadership and motivational skills.
Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dance training to ensure safe practice and injury prevention.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages.
Organised with the ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
A recognised qualification in dance instruction or teaching is preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial practical experience.
Passionate about dance education with a commitment to fostering artistic growth in students.
